Name: "Felix" / Isaac Gates Door: door pass, submissive Canon: Red vs. BlueCanon Point: Season 13, Episode 19 Age: Canonically unknown, but my rough estimate is early thirties. Appearance: Felix spends 99.9% of his canon appearances in full-body combat armor. I currently use Ben Barnes from his role in The Punisher as his PB. History: Here! Personality: CHARISMATIC, to a near insufferable degree. At the beginning of Season 13, Felix boards UNSC military prison ship the Tartarus and easily charms personnel into allowing him direct access to the bridge, then stages a hostile takeover of her crew and cargo ( see: the Tartartus' inmates ). He's an active, engaging talker who is very good at reading people and stripping whole personas down to bare basics. It's not hard for him to form and subsequently maintain interpersonal connections, even if very few of those connections are actually genuine or meaningful on his end.
MANIPULATIVE, adjacent to his charisma. Felix is a ruthless manipulator who uses anything or anyone around him to further his own goals and agenda. The only cause he's loyal to is the one that's writing his paycheck at the end of the day; very little else matters to him, and he will do whatever is necessary to get the job done, no matter the cost. His manipulative behavior surfaces in numerous ways throughout the course of the series, whether he's lying to his partner or an entire army of people who believe he's on their side. Felix has no side but his own.
VIOLENT and extremely comfortable with displays of violence against himself. Felix is a mercenary and former UNSC spec ops soldier who is stated, in canon, to have been active during the ugliest period of the Human-Covenant war. His tendency toward violence and never backing down from a fight regardless of the odds is what ultimately leads to his death in Season 13.
SPITEFUL/PETTY combined with a short fuse and vicious temper. He holds a grudge like a motherfucker and does not forgive easily. During his worst moments, he can be baited into acting against his best interests, and he has trouble seeing beyond his own petty grievances when he feels he's been wrongly crossed.
When his partner of many years inevitably turns on him, Felix shows very little regret or remorse for his actions. He gives only momentary pause to the idea of disposing of him if it means completing the job, and even tells him that he can "die with the rest of them" for his betrayal. Felix doesn't work in shades of grey; you're either with him, or you're his enemy. He has no room for middleground. Powers and Abilities: TACTICALLY CLEVER, WEAPONS PROWRESS and MARKSMANSHIP — trained military operative who's been dicking around with guns and sharp pointy objects for the majority of his life; he has a keen eye for detail and is an excellent shot with a rifle, sidearm, or throwing knife.
CLOSE QUARTERS COMBAT — excels in both unarmed and armed ( re: combat knives ) hand-to-hand combat, often using his opponent's own force and weight against them to turn the tide in his favor.
PILOT-CERTIFIED — capable of piloting small-to-medium sized aircrafts and starships.
TECH-SAVVY — born in the 2500s, during a time of great technological feat and prosper; he can work his way around most unfamiliar systems with ease, though he might struggle a little with technology he views as particularly outdated or antiquated.
COMBAT ARMOR — equipped with a various number of perks, such as: a transparent heads-up display ( HUD ) housed in the armor's helmet that provides details on biometrics, thermal/motion sensors, and environmental/atmospheric readouts; pressure seal and closed climate environment; magnetic holster strips; shields; comm link; and imaging/video capabilities.
The armor itself is heavy, weighing in around 300 to 500 pounds, and protects the wearer from damage while also granting an extremely flexible range of motion. He hits harder and moves faster while geared up. Inventory: Felix will be arriving with his sidearm, combat knife, and a set of four throwing knives, all holstered or otherwise concealed within his armor ( unless this counts as more than three? in which case he can lose the set of throwing knives entirely ).
